What we do

We provide individualised support and care services so people can live well in their own homes and communities.

Our Core Services include:

• Aged Care: Support for older West Australians who want to stay independent and at home for longer.
• Disability Support: Flexible, individualised support for people living with disability who want the freedom to live life on their terms
• Mental Health: Compassionate and recovery-based support for people experiencing mental ill-health to help them feel well and connected.
• Veteran Care: Personalised support for veterans and their families to live well at home and stay connected to their community.

Our story – 60 years of local support

Avivo’s story began in the 1960s with Gertrude “Gwin” Ruston, who founded the Perth Emergency Housekeeping Service. She saw a need in her community and created a service to help people stay supported at home with dignity and independence. 

From those beginnings, we’ve grown into a state-wide organisation supporting thousands of Western Australians every day. What’s stayed the same is our commitment to people and place – locals supporting locals, with familiar faces who know and understand you.
