This Clifford Townsend Scholarship was established in 1998 in memory of customer Clifford Townsend to support staff learning and development applicable to their work with Avivo, over and above the core training provided by the organisation.
The scholarship is awarded to an employee or groups of employees seeking to develop their capacity to innovate in practice or lead to innovations in services and supports.

2018 Corporate Rebels workshop
The 2018 scholarship was utilised to fund a workshop run by the Corporate Rebels. Eighty people attended the full-day workshop to explore lessons in organisational and workforce innovation from across the globe.

2016 Erfana Jackey
The 2016 scholarship was awarded to Erfana Jackey, a PHaMs Peer Worker based in Geraldton. The scholarship was used to develop strategies to support people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds to access services, particularly people who have mental ill-health.
2015 Nicki Dyson
The 2015 scholarship was awarded to Nicki Dyson, Area Manager for the Wheatbelt. The scholarship was used to explore opportunities to develop a community development model for the delivery of Home Care Packages in the Aboriginal community in the Badjaling area of the Wheatbelt.
