Avivo employee Cheryl Butler was awarded a Small Sparks Grant to get pyrography equipment for the Mandurah Arts and Crafts Society.

Cheryl took the old craft of pyrography (also known as pokerwork or wood burning), revitalised it and now teaches it to the community at the Mandurah Arts and Crafts Society. The community includes many Avivo customers, and they all often get together to practise their chosen craft in an environment that feels welcoming.

Members hold regular exhibitions and even have the opportunity to sell the pieces they’ve made. There are many different art classes available at the Mandurah Arts and Crafts Society.
