What is Carer Gateway? 

Carer Gateway is an Australian Government initiative that gives carers access to practical help, advice, and respite. Avivo works alongside you to make sense of the options and ensure you’re supported in a way that fits your life. 

Who is eligible?

Carer Gateway is for anyone who provides unpaid care to a family member or friend who needs extra support because of:

• Disability
• Mental ill-health
• Chronic illness
• Dementia
• Frailty due to age

How it works 

When you contact Carer Gateway, you’ll have a planning conversation to talk about your situation and what supports might help. Avivo can be part of this journey, helping you arrange respite, explore options, and stay connected with ongoing support.
