How to access funded aged care in WA
Most people access our aged care services through government funding. We’ll help you understand your options and guide you through the process.
Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP)
- Entry-level support for older people who need a little extra help to stay independent.
Support at Home
- Government-funded support for people who need more ongoing or complex care to remain living safely and independently at home.
Private or self-funded
- Start services straight away, without waiting for a government assessment.
To access government-funded services, you’ll usually need an assessment through My Aged Care. It can feel confusing, but we’ll guide you every step of the way.

Is Avivo a registered aged care provider?
Yes – we’re a fully registered provider delivering a range of aged care services across Western Australia, and we’ve been trusted by over 50,000 Western Australians for nearly 60 years.
Can Avivo help me apply for the CHSP or Support at Home?
Yes. We can guide you through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or Support at Home (SaH) application process and connect you with the right people to get your plan started.
Can I choose my own Support Workers?
Absolutely. We work with you to choose support workers who suit your needs, preferences and lifestyle, ensuring our aged care support services feel personal, consistent and aligned.
Will customers have the same Support Worker every time?
Yes! Avivo operates in Neighbourhood Teams, meaning we have small, local groups of support workers delivering aged care support within their communities. We do our best to provide continuity of care with the same Support Workers each week.
Do you provide overnight support?
Yes, we offer overnight support depending on budget and care requirements. A two-week notice period is required to arrange this service.
How much does aged care cost with Avivo?
The cost of your aged care services depends on your assessment, funding eligibility and the services you receive. If you’re eligible for government funding through CHSP or Support at Home, you may be asked to contribute towards the cost of your care, depending on your circumstances. We also offer private services if you prefer to self-fund.
