Self-managing your NDIS plan gives you the highest level of flexibility and choice. You take full responsibility for your budget, payments, and service decisions, putting you in the driver’s seat.

Self-management may be a good fit if you:
You can self-manage all or just part of your NDIS plan. If you’d rather have more of a hands-off approach you can agency-manage or plan-manage.
You don’t have to go it alone. Support is available to help you succeed with self-managed:
The NDIS may also fund capacity building support to help you develop the skills to self-manage successfully.
There is no fee for choosing to self-manage. However, you’re responsible for managing payments, submitting claims, and keeping proper financial records.
If needed, you can request funding in your plan to build your skills or get support to manage your plan over time.
Self-managed, plan-managed or agency-managed, you can choose one or combine them, depending on what works best for you. Talk to your planner or LAC at your next planning meeting to explore your options.
