Navigating the mental health system can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re new to the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) or…
Caring for a loved one living with mental illness can be both rewarding and overwhelming. At Avivo, we recognise the vital role family members and carers play and we’re here to support you, too.
Our Family and Carer Support program provides practical help, respite, and guidance so you don’t have to carry the load alone.
Family and Carer Support is a Mental Health Commission (MHC) funded program designed to give carers the support they need to maintain their wellbeing while caring for someone with a mental health condition.
We focus on easing pressure, offering respite, and helping carers stay connected and supported in their own lives.
At Avivo, we believe carers deserve the same care and compassion they give to others. Our approach is built on:

Avivo’s Family and Carer Support is funded by the WA Mental Health Commission and is designed to help unpaid carers who support someone with a diagnosed mental health condition.
Whether you’re new to support services, switching providers, or exploring funding options, Avivo can guide you through the referral process and help you access the right mental health support.
You may be eligible if you are an unpaid carer supporting someone with a diagnosed mental health condition.
“I want to thank you for your ongoing support, especially Jenny and Irma. Your help means so much for my mental health. The staff are amazing, always ready to talk on the phone and able to help in any situation. I fully trust and appreciate everything you do. Thank you.”
“Receiving respite from Avivo has been life-changing – I finally get a break when I need it.”
“Natalie from Avivo is always bubbly, thoughtful, and caring. She goes out of her way not only to support her client but to check in on others too. Her empathy and kindness truly make people’s days brighter. Thank you, Natalie, for all that you do!”
“I wanted to also extend my appreciation to all of you and what you do, day in day out, to not only care for the vulnerable people in our communities, but for giving families such peace of mind that their loved ones are in such good hands.”
“I have three sons here in Perth and one daughter in Melbourne, but my Support Workers are each like daughters to me. It gives my family peace of mind to know I’m in such good hands.”
