Big change doesn’t always come from big gestures. Often, it’s the small moments of connection – a conversation, familiar face, shared laugh, kind check-in, or simply feeling remembered – that…
At Avivo, our Executive Team leads with heart, purpose, and deep experience. Together, they are responsible for shaping strategy, leading operations, and ensuring we continue to provide practical, individualised support that helps people live a good life in a community that values and includes them.
With diverse backgrounds across aged care, disability, health, finance, mental health, and community development, each member of our Executive Team brings a wealth of knowledge and a shared commitment to upholding Avivo’s values of inclusivity, flexibility, practicality and respect.

Kate is the Chief Executive Officer of Avivo and has spent many years working alongside people and families across a wide range of communities and settings.
She is deeply passionate about people directing their own lives and considers it a privilege to have learned from individuals and families who have shared their experiences of what meaningful, helpful support looks like, and the creative approaches that enable positive change.
Kate has supported organisations across Australia and Europe to develop contemporary, person-centred practices. Her experience spans both strategic and operational leadership, with a strong focus on building positive, values-led cultures that enable colleagues and the people they support to thrive.
Previously, Kate led several initiatives as a Development Consultant, with many resources published through WAIS and Citizen Network. Her work continues to center on co-design, lived experience leadership, and inclusive systems that support genuine choice, connection, and belonging.

Lynsey McDonnell has been Avivo’s CFO for 9 years. She is a chartered accountant with 25 years’ experience across professional services, financial services, and media – none of which were as tough or as rewarding as community services.
Combining financial and commercial expertise with pragmatism and heart, Lynsey values transparency, collaboration, keeping things in perspective and having a laugh along the way.
Avivo goes hand-in-hand with industry partners who advocate for your needs.
